Football Fans - Extra credit 2

Football fans have got to be some of the craziest people in the world. When people fall in love with a professional football team they will do some crazy stuff to support their team. I have seen people shave logos on the side of their head, tattoos, car paint, flags on their house, and will buy tones of clothes and jerseys with their favorite team’s logo on it. When fans become so passionate about a team they almost get a feeling they are part of the team when they lose or when they win.
When you go to a game, you notice people in body paint, and decked out in clothes with their favorite team logo. I love going to games because I love seeing people’s passion for the game of football and how much support they give their favorite team. Some fans will travel thousands of miles each and every week to see their team play. Some will tail gate and party before the game and make game day a full day event. I love watching some of the most dedicated football fans get mad, because they will go on a rampage and get so upset that they won’t talk for hours.
I think a big part of football games are the fans, without the fans games would not be near as much fun, and players would not be near as excited to play the game of football. Without football fans going to game their wouldn’t be near as much excitement, what makes a football game fun is the noise and the passion fans show to their teams to help them win week in and week out. I myself am a diehard broncos fan and I hope to someday be able to buy season tickets every single year so I can support my home team, and get the real life experience of being at the game.

Extra Credit blog- football penalties

A football game can be won or loss by a matter of inches, but penalties can also play a huge role in the final factor on who wins the football game.  Penalties have changed the game so much now a days, there is such a fine line on what is aloud and what is not aloud when it comes to holding, hitting, and pass interference. I hate when I watch a game and referees are the ones who are messing up the game. Someone once told me that if you do not know the referees are there while watching the game, they are doing their job. Millions of Fans watch their favorite football team week in and week out, and the last thing they want to see is a referee interfering with the game with stupid or wrong penalties.
But on the other hand you never want to see a player get hurt due to an illegal tackle or hit. That’s why penalties are very important, so that players are aware of what is aloud and what is not aloud. I am glad to see that people are starting to discuss more about penalties because hopefully someday the risk of injury in football will decrease. I know injuries will never go aware but I hope some of them can be avoided with more enforced rules. I also think it’s great when coaches preach to their kids about winning a football game the right way. And that is by good hard smash mouth football, you play clean during the play and after the whistle. I really do believe that referees are doing a great job in helping with safety of players on the football field. Without penalties I think injuries would be doubled and it would be a wild mess while playing a game.
