Research Knowledge
During my research on coaching little league football, I learned a lot of new material. Something new that I learned was how important it is to gain a relationship with the players parents. When you are able to gain this relationship they are more willing to trust you with their kid. Another thing I learned while researching my topic was how important giving the same amount attention to every kid is, you can’t as a coach just give all your time to the starters or the superstars. And finally the last thing I learned that was awesome researching about was what it takes to be a successful coach, and how you have to go through many steps to get ready for game day. I think the coolest thing I learned was talking about how a coach should give his pre-game speech to get the team all fired up and ready to play.
While researching this topic I found out that I would like to study more into the higher ranks of coaching, like high school and college. Also another path I might want to take would be strategic moves as a coach during a game to catch your opponent off guard. Now that I set the ground work into coaching, I feel as if there is a million different ways I could go. I would also like to learn more about behind the scenes from a business perspective in college and professional football.
All and all this research paper has taught me a lot about coaching little league football and at the end of day has made me want to study more. Like I said in my paper I always feel like a coach or a player can learn more. Football is a sport that is always changing, so you need to keep learning to become the best you can be.
